Welcome to our new Community Programme members!
We are absolutely delighted to welcome 30 new groups into the Breathe London Community Programme.
The Breathe London Community Programme, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, aims to democratise air quality monitoring and create a community of groups who support each other and share their experiences and ideas for improving air pollution conditions. The Community Programme supports the groups in leveraging hyperlocal air pollution data and engaging communities to effect change in their neighbourhoods.
Today we welcome 30 new groups into the Programme, creating one of the largest and most inspiring groups of residents, parents, health care works, citizen scientists and activists in the UK. To learn more about each of them, click here.
Over the course of the next year we will be hosting meetings, discussing data, learning, collaborating and growing. We will also be coming up with new ways to share our findings and experience across the wider community of people working to improve air quality conditions across London.
In 2022 we welcomed the first 10 groups into the programme and already local air quality data is helping groups push for change and engage with local residents on the issue of air pollution…
We’ll be posting regularly about the programme on the Breathe London site, via our newsletter, and also on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
If you are interested in applying for a FREE sensor, we will be launching the third and final round of the programme next year where we’ll have a further 20 nodes to give out. Please sign up for our newsletter for updates on when we launch our final round (Sign up here!).
